## Description

The Gracious Quran is an English-first way to read, hear and understand the Quran — built on Dr. Ahmad Zaki Hammad's translation and the scholarship he published alongside it.

READ IT AS A BOOK
A clean, typeset page in English, Arabic, or both together. The translator's added words appear in light brackets so you always know what the Arabic says and what was supplied for sense — and one tap hides them for an uninterrupted read. Set the text size and line spacing to suit your eyes, turn the page to landscape for wider lines, or enter full screen and let everything else fall away.

LISTEN AND FOLLOW
Recitation in Arabic, the English reading, or both. The verse being recited is highlighted and the page keeps pace with it, so your eye is always where the voice is. Playback continues on the lock screen, and whole surahs can be downloaded for offline listening.

UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD
Hold any word while reading — in either script — and its dictionary entry opens: the root it grows from, every English rendering the translator chose for it, and every verse where it occurs. The dictionary covers all 28 letters, 1,771 roots and more than 48,000 occurrences, drawn from the concordance to this translation. It speaks plainly by default, and the scholarly abbreviations are one switch away.

The printed edition's own indexes, hand-compiled and fully linked: God's names and attributes, the prophets and Mary story by story, every animal, insect and plant the Quran names, and hundreds of subjects from A to Z. Plus a one-sentence summary of all 114 surahs.
