## Description

**Notesnook** is a private, open-source note-taking app with end-to-end encryption enabled by default. Notes are encrypted on your device before syncing, protecting them from advertisers and unauthorized access with XChaCha20-Poly1305 and Argon2.

Write and organize everything from quick lists to thesis chapters using Markdown, headings, tables, code blocks, math, outlines and images. Use nested notebooks, tags, favorites, pinned notes, instant search and linked notes to build a personal knowledge base. Notesnook syncs across iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web, with encrypted reminders, version history, dark mode, themes, note publishing and an ad-free web clipper. Import notes from other apps, Markdown or HTML files. The free plan includes unlimited notes, devices and full end-to-end encryption, while paid plans add task lists, recurring reminders, additional storage, app lock, an encrypted vault and more.
