## Description

Co‑designed with Berlin‑based electronic musician Hainbach, Gauss Field Looper brings the old‑school tape‑looping art to mobile devices. This creative field looper works as a standalone app and as an Audio Unit AUv3 plugin, unifying field recording and plugin workflows on iOS. It captures the spirit of magnetic tape while embracing modern digital capabilities, letting you explore looping without scissors.

Features include adjustable tape speed and direction during recording, overdub with multiple instances for evolving textures, and a built‑in 4‑step polyrhythmic sequencer that triggers tape‑speed changes in sync with your host tempo. The app offers inertia control for motor response, a multi‑mode filter with LFO, a delay with host‑sync, and a '1989' mode for vintage 8‑bit flavor. Loop length tops at 45 seconds at 1x, extending at slower speeds, and global cross‑host preset handling (iOS13+) is supported. Find the user manual at ruismaker.com.
