## Description

Creatures of Aether is a new card game by Tako Boy Studios, created in collaboration with Dan Fornace and the Rivals of Aether team. Collect elemental creatures from the world of Aether and build the perfect deck to outsmart your opponents. Rival cards, featuring characters from Rivals of Aether, bring powerful abilities that can swing a match in an instant.

Compete online in a ranked ladder or take on PvE Dungeons against the computer to earn loot and new cards. The game supports online play and offers thrilling strategy, deck-building depth, and a growing card collection. A minimum of 2 GB of memory is recommended to run the app.

## Review summary

Creatures of Aether is fun and strategic with attractive visuals and solid deck-building, but its experience is hurt by a small player base, stability issues, AI balance concerns, and monetization friction. It shows real potential, and with better matchmaking, fewer bugs, more content, and smoother progression it could become a standout title.

### Pros

- Fun and easy to learn with deep strategic depth.
- Rich deck-building and varied modes (up to ten decks) with balanced core gameplay.
- Visually appealing art style and creature designs; vibes similar to Rivals of Aether.
- Generally fair monetization and progression, accessible to free-to-play players.

### Cons

- Very small active player base leading to long wait times and frequent bot matches.
- Login/account issues and loading crashes (sign-in failures, loading screens, cross‑platform progress loss).
- Balance/AI frustration: opponents AI often counters or makes real challenges difficult; some tutorials are unbeatable.
- Monetization grind and paywalls (season passes, coin costs, daily AP limits) impacting progression.
