## Rankings

- #92,172 — Overall

## Review summary

Reviewers largely praise the Craftsman OBD device and app for quick, easy setup, reliable code reading/clearing, and useful maintenance tracking across multiple vehicles at a strong price. However, several recurring issues appear: connection and Bluetooth compatibility problems on iPhones and with various devices; outdated app with limited support for newer cars; reliability concerns such as mileage counter glitches and occasional scan errors; limited customization (oil change intervals and data entry) and occasional false negatives; and some reports of poor customer support. Overall, solid basic functionality, but reliability, updates, and support gaps limit its usefulness for some users.

### Pros

- Easy to set up and intuitive interface
- Reads and clears codes reliably with real-time diagnostics, including while driving
- Keeps maintenance data and supports multiple vehicles with recalls, MPG, and maintenance reminders
- Great value for the price and can save trips to the mechanic

### Cons

- Connectivity and Bluetooth compatibility issues; frequent connection failures on iPhone and with various devices
- App hasn't been updated in years and shows limited support for newer cars
- In-app mileage/odometer can be inaccurate or increment randomly
- Limited customization options and data input (oil change intervals are fixed; tire depth input only in millimeters)
- Customer support can be unresponsive or hard to reach
