## Description

The iQua Chrome extension provides a secure online dashboard to monitor and control your Wi-Fi connected water treatment system. It displays key metrics at a glance—average daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly water usage; today’s usage; current flow rate; days until the salt is depleted; and whether the water is on or off. You can launch a regeneration and adjust settings remotely from anywhere.

The tool can be programmed to send alerts for continual water flow, excessive usage, low salt, and more, helping you stay informed and in control of your home’s water management, improving convenience and security.

## Rankings

- #55,415 — Overall

## Review summary

The app offers valuable WiFi-enabled management, alerts, and usage data, but users repeatedly report not being able to clear notifications, valve control failure after updates, and overall stability issues. Login/account problems and a push for local (not remote) access are common concerns. When it works, it provides solid monitoring and control, but reliability and notification handling are the dominant pain points across multiple reviews.

### Pros

- Remote management of the water softener via WiFi/app
- Real-time alerts and status indicators (water flow, low salt, open taps)
- Detailed usage metrics and historical data (current flow rate, daily/weekly/monthly views, water used, days since recharge)
- Alerts/notifications (email alerts) and reminders when useful

### Cons

- Cannot clear or mark notifications as read; persistent badges and unread indicators
- Remote shut-off valve control stops working after updates; valve not recognized or functional
- Frequent stability bugs and usability regressions after updates (crashes, UI issues)
- Login/account problems (lost account, password reset failures, password UI glitches)
- Desire for local access instead of relying on remote server, plus rate-limiting of API calls
