## Description

PicoPico lets you enjoy licensed 8bit retro games with modern features. It supports MFi, PS4, and XBOX-ONE gamepads, plus PIN/UNDO quick save/load, 3 save slots and 10 movie slots per title, and the ability to record gameplay movies and share saves or clips. You can organize items in MyList, climb Score Ranking leaderboards (free daily challenges; extra plays via Pico Plan), and create Private Boards to host live events with viewers, including video replays and score submissions. Some titles support Bluetooth or Internet multiplayer; note that Internet play latency varies by region. Private Boards are free to use for supported titles.

Plans include a FREE PLAN for limited access and the PICO PLAN to unlock all games. PICO PLAN costs $4.99 per month and includes a 1-week free trial. Subscriptions are billed to Apple ID upon purchase confirmation and auto-renew unless turned off 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. See Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details.

## Review summary

Reviews praise PicoPico for solid programming, a polished UI, and a retro vibe, plus a library of real games and hidden gems. However, recurring issues include the subscription model and desire for per‑game purchases, missing beloved classics due to licensing, and performance concerns like choppiness and blur with requests for an option to disable blur. Overall, it’s appealing to retro gamers but could improve licensing, pricing, and performance to broaden appeal.

### Pros

- Solid programming with a polished UI and menus.
- Worthwhile download for retro gaming fans; it's worth your time.
- Selection of real retro titles and hidden gems (not just fake ones).

### Cons

- Subscription-only model is disliked; users want the option to buy games individually.
- Missing popular titles (Pac-Man, Mario, Sonic, Earthbound, Mega Man) and rights concerns about owning the games.
- Choppy gameplay and blur; no option to disable blur (users request this feature).
- Limited game library/selection; not enough variety or favorite titles.
