## Description

The HTC Check-In App helps teams and individual participants manage their team for to the Hood and Portland to Coast Relays as well as our One Day Relays. For team based events, the app will help you manage your team roster and pre-check your team safety gear. New this year, the app will allow for a streamlined packet pick-up process! All participants will be required to use the in-app QR code to receive their team and/or individual event packet and bib.

## Review summary

HTC Check-In helps teams stay connected and track timing during virtual or multi-location events, with easy data entry and leg assignment features. Reviewers praise its connectivity and tracking, especially for distributed teams. However, users repeatedly note a clunky, multi-step timing workflow and persistent data-sync problems that leave leg status and times out of sync across devices. Some also prefer the older app flow and request UI improvements for cross-device reliability.

### Pros

- Keeps the team connected and lets everyone see times, which helps coordination for virtual/remote runs.
- Simple to use, with watch compatibility and easy data entry/editing.
- Leg/distance assignment feature allows assigning different legs to teammates.
- Timings, pace, and internal communication work well for the team.

### Cons

- Cumbersome timing workflow with too many taps; handoffs are slow and less intuitive than older app versions.
- Leg data/status and updates are inconsistent across devices; legs may show as unassigned or fail to update.
- General data synchronization issues across teammates and vans, causing timing mismatches.
