## Description

Cancer Risk Calculator is a Chrome extension that estimates lifetime cancer risk across 26 cancer types using 350 risk factors described in scientific literature. Results are shown for 10-, 20-, and 30-year horizons, with anatomical or pathological subtypes where available. All entered information is stored locally on your device and never transmitted.

The project carries CE Class I conformity as a medical device and is intended for educational use. It should not replace professional medical advice. All research and medical support were conducted by Dr. Philippe Westerlinck, radiation oncologist and clinical chair at the University Hospital of Liège. The tool acknowledges FDA enforcement discretion in its regulatory context and is designed for educational purposes.

However, a majority raise concerns about accuracy and the underlying methodology, describing the results as unreliable or simplistic. Privacy worries are common, including potential data sharing and selling of health information, alongside skepticism about the app's medical credentials (not created by doctors). A few users also mention device-specific UI issues and incomplete content. Overall, it may raise awareness but should not be relied on for medical decisions.
