Designed specifically for Emergent Bilingual students, also known as ELLs, in grades K–6, Lexia English helps learners acquire higher language proficiency levels of English and supports English language development through academic conversations. From Newcomers to Long-Term English Learners, Lexia English meets all students where they are and targets oral language and grammar skills at a level appropriate for each student’s proficiency. Lexia English’s curriculum is aligned with rigorous language proficiency standards including WIDA, CA ELD, TX ELPS, ELPA 21, and NY ESL. Real-time actionable data empower educators to transform instruction, personalize learning for each student, and make data-informed instructional decisions. The program offers additional instructional resources that reinforce students’ online learnings, target individual needs, support and extend lessons, and provide additional opportunities for practice, including writing activities that focus on the same language frames and grammatical conventions that learners are being taught in the program. Continuous progress monitoring offers visibility into student and teacher success and ongoing needs.
