## Description

The Futoshiki is a Japanese logic puzzle game similar to Sudoku, but it uses greater-than and less-than signs between cells. Your task is to fill every cell with a single digit, ensuring no repeats in any row or column, and to satisfy all inequality constraints. With 12,000 levels across six grid sizes, it offers a deep and varied brain workout.

In this Chrome extension, you can choose from six grid sizes (4x4 through 9x9) with 2000 unique levels per size, totaling 12,000 puzzles. Playing is simple: select a cell, then use the numbers at the bottom to enter a value (you can enter multiple candidates in a cell), and the level is complete when each cell holds one number. Use the erase option to remove numbers. The core rules are row/column uniqueness and adherence to the inequality signs.

## Review summary

Users praise the large puzzle library and easy, focused gameplay with hints, but frequently complain about ads, laggy performance, and missing puzzle-management features like error checking and pencil marks. The core puzzle experience is strong and accessible, but many desire smoother performance, better tools for tracking possibilities, and more advertising controls.

- Easy to learn and navigate with a clean, focused puzzle experience.
- Hints available to assist solving tougher puzzles.
- Free to play with an option to upgrade to an ad-free version later.

### Cons

- Ads are distracting or intrusive, with some users wishing for a fully ad-free option.
- Laggy performance and slow responsiveness, including delays when tapping numbers and laggy level selection, plus occasional crashes.
- Lack of built-in error checking or flagging wrong answers and no standalone pencil-mark tool; need better hints and error-check features.
- Pencil marks are hard to manage; no standalone pencil-mark feature and confusion between potential values and entered numbers.
