Seek by iNaturalist uses image recognition to identify living things around you. Open the Seek Camera, point at plants, birds, fungi, and more, and it suggests species from the iNaturalist database. Earn badges for observing different species and completing challenges as you explore the outdoors.

This kid-safe app requires no sign-in by default and respects privacy. Your location is obscured to help protect privacy while still offering nearby species ideas, and precise coordinates are not stored unless you submit observations with an iNaturalist account. Built on iNaturalist data and backed by conservation partners, Seek invites families to learn about the life around them and have fun while helping science.
