## Description

Imperial Assault: Legends of the Alliance is a companion app for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. In this cooperative mode, the app takes on the Imperial faction while your group plays as Rebel heroes to thwart the Empire.

It features a full campaign with new missions and can incorporate your entire Imperial Assault collection, giving you a fresh, team-based way to experience the Star Wars battles you love.

## Rankings

- #89,165 — Overall

## Review summary

The app is a free companion that enables solo/co-op Imperial Assault play and adds new campaigns for owners of the base game. However, it hinges on owning the board game, features long, confusing tutorials, offers limited content, and many users feel it doesn't match the fun of the physical game.

### Pros

- Allows solo and co-op play for Imperial Assault via the app, enabling a digital campaign experience
- The app is free and adds hours of play with new campaigns for the base game
- Provides additional campaigns for each expansion you own, extending content beyond the core set
- The UI is easy to use and controls are straightforward

### Cons

- Requires the Star Wars: Imperial Assault board game to function; not a stand-alone app
- Tutorials are excessively long and confusing, delaying actual gameplay
- Content is limited and doesn't unlock all expansions or characters (e.g., only certain campaigns usable)
- Playing the app can feel less fun than the real board game due to heavy in-app tracking and abstraction
