Led Car computes the series resistor you need when replacing a car LED with one of a different wattage, based on your supply voltage.

Just enter your voltage, the original LED power and the new LED power: Led Car gives you the resistor value (Ohm) and the recommended wattage. If no resistor is needed, it tells you so.
