## Review summary

Metronaut is praised for practice-friendly accompaniment with tempo control, ease of use, and a growing library, plus responsive updates. However, heavy paywalls, billing inconsistencies, content gaps, occasional crashes, and frequent subscription prompts create friction for free users.

### Pros

- Plays along with accompaniment with tempo control, making practice easier
- Easy-to-use interface on the go with features like favorites, printing, and tempo slowing
- Extensive library with user requests and the ability to organize content into playlists
- Responsive developers with regular updates and new features (Playlists, AirPlay) and good customer support
- Cursor feature helps keep timing when playing along

### Cons

- Premium subscription gates most content; free access is very limited
- Billing/trial issues: unexpected charges and unclear trial terms
- Content gaps: limited repertoire and instrument coverage; missing some pieces
- Reliability issues: crashes or not opening on some devices and Mac display/readability problems
- Frustrating user experience due to frequent subscription prompts and hard-to-avoid trial offers
