## Description

Interactive Constitution is a free educational app from the National Constitution Center, produced in partnership with the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society. It presents the full text of the U.S. Constitution along with essays by leading scholars that map areas of agreement and debate across diverse legal and philosophical perspectives. The resource is featured by College Board in its Advanced Placement history and government courses, with support from a John Templeton Foundation grant.

Navigate easily: tap Explore It, then choose Articles or Amendments to read the text with scholarly annotations. For Amendments 1-15, you’ll find Common Interpretations and Matters of Debate; Amendments 16-27 include annotations and interpretations from the Annenberg Classroom; Articles I-VII offer the full text by sections with expert commentary. The About The Constitution section contains white papers on background, history, interpretation, and application.

## Review summary

Users praise the app for easy reading and strong organization (by Article/Amendment) with change notes and nonpartisan analysis, making it a solid educational tool. Repeated drawbacks center on navigation issues: lack of back/forward controls, difficulty returning to the app after following links, and a somewhat clunky UI compared to the website.

- Well-organized by Article/Amendment with change notes that show how the text has evolved.
- Provides nonpartisan analysis and reliable reference content that’s accessible anytime.
- Polished, user-friendly design similar to the website, offering quick access to constitutional content.

### Cons

- No back/forward navigation; users can’t easily go back to a previous page or spot after following links.
- After following links, there’s no simple way to return to the app, often landing back at the home page.
- Overall navigation feels clunky/awkward and could use bookmarks or better back controls.
