MooCow: Hide Photos & Videos

MooCow is a privacy-focused app that hides photos and videos behind a passcode and biometric authentication (Touch ID/Face ID). It runs offline, so your data stays on-device and never traverses the internet. The inconspicuous app name helps it blend in on your home screen, and you can import media from Photos, Documents, or directly from the camera.

For local management, MooCow includes a built-in WiFi File Manager and macOS File Sharing. It lets you view videos in-app with a native player and browse photos in a fullscreen, swipeable album. Supported formats include MP4/MOV/M4V for video and JPG/PNG/TIFF/HEIC/BMP/GIF/WEBP, Live Photos for images.
