## Description

Apex Fusion is a cloud-based app that lets you manage Apex aquarium systems from anywhere with an internet connection. It displays real-time and historical data for temperature, pH, ORP, salinity, and more, so you can monitor your tank’s health at a glance. You can control equipment like lights, pumps, and heaters, log water tests and notes, view your tank with IP cameras, remotely feed fish, and manage multiple aquariums. The app sends instant iOS alerts when something needs attention, and requires an Apex system and an Apex Fusion account.

## Review summary

Users generally praise Apex Fusion for exposing the Apex system, quick access to reef data, and the ability to set rules and alerts. However, repeated issues dominate: a clunky, non-native UI; frequent crashes and startup freezes; ongoing login/authentication prompts; reported disconnects between the app and the device; and missing features like iOS widgets and longer data history. Compatibility on older iPads and slow updates are also noted. In short, the core functionality is present, but stability and UX problems severely limit usability.

### Pros

- Quick launch and fast access to reef parameters and notes.
- Core functionality works as designed, enabling rules and alerts and smooth operation when configured.
- Web-based architecture provides cross-device accessibility and quick access to Apex data.

### Cons

- Poor UI/UX: clunky, non-native feel with small, cramped controls and inconsistent navigation.
- Frequent crashes, startup stalls, and general instability.
- Repeated login/authentication prompts and session issues (unauthorized screens, re-logging).
- Missing features and data limitations: no iOS widgets, only a 7-day data view, limited long-term trend analysis, and some device compatibility issues (older iPads).
- Reliability issues with connectivity between the app and the Apex system (disconnections) and slow updates.
