## Description

The High Life is an open-world action game that drops you into a neon-lit city where amnesia and the criminal underworld collide. Buy or farm weed, outrun the cops, and climb the criminal ladder as you uncover who you really are.

Chapter 1 delivers a story-driven campaign, while daily side jobs, a Black Market for weapons and vehicles, and options to upgrade your skills or hire a crew let you tailor your approach and power up your street influence.

## Review summary

Reviewers consistently say The High Life shows strong potential and an engaging story, but is held back by bugs, incomplete content, and progression blockers at levels 5–6. Players note crashes and glitches, pressure to purchase cash to progress, and a lack of updates for years, which hurts playability. If fixed and updated, the game could fully realize its promise.

### Pros

- Strong potential and an original storyline that many players praise.
- Engaging, immersive gameplay when the game runs smoothly, with evident enjoyment in multiple reviews.
- High player enthusiasm and willingness to support the game with future updates or content (e.g., console release or more in-game purchases).

### Cons

- Recurring bugs and stability issues (crashes, glitches, mission-specific bugs) that block progression.
- Major progression blockers at levels 5–6, with missions involving Pac/Snoop/Tupac preventing advancement.
- Long gaps in updates and an unfinished feel; calls for finishing the game and adding content.
- In-app purchases or cash gating that some players feel are required to progress.
- Inadequate guidance/directions in places, leaving players unsure how to proceed.
