## Description

OMEGA has introduced a simple way to scan your Master Chronometer certificate and access the test results of your watch directly through your MyOMEGA account. During the METAS 8 tests, including chronometric precision before and after exposure to a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss, each watch records a unique set of results that show exactly how it achieved its pass mark.

By downloading the OMEGA Master Chronometer Scanner, you can:
- Scan your Master Chronometer Certificate to access the results of your watch.
- Discover the 8 METAS tests in detail.
- Find out more about METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).

## Review summary

Users report a mixed experience: the app can show METAS data for Omega watches and, when functioning, is easy and quick via near-field card taps. However, camera-based scanning frequently fails, and the app doesn’t work reliably on iPhone and iPad. Accessing results often requires logging in, which raises privacy concerns. Overall, the experience is inconsistent: some users get quick access to data, while many others encounter failures and frustration.

### Pros

- METAS results for Omega watches are available when the scan works.
- Easy to use and intuitive; small, focused app.
- Near-field card tap / RFID-like scanning works and is fast.
- After logging in, METAS results can be viewed and shared (e.g., via text/email).

### Cons

- Camera-based scanning often fails; camera won’t turn on or read the card.
- App unreliable across devices; not functioning on iPhone and iPad.
- Requires login to view METAS results; raises privacy concerns.
- Overall reliability is inconsistent; many users report failures.
