## Description

Cubii is a health and fitness companion app for the Cubii desk elliptical. It pairs via Bluetooth to provide real-time updates on strides, distance, calories burned, and active time, so you can stay active at work.

With goal tracking, progress reports, push reminders, and group leaderboards, Cubii helps you stay motivated. It also syncs with Apple Health and Fitbit, and wirelessly keeps your data up to date on iPhone.

## Review summary

User feedback shows the Cubii iOS app is hampered by persistent data loss and unreliable syncing. Many report workouts don’t persist across days, progress is erased, and data doesn’t reliably sync to Health apps. Crashes and open-time failures are common, and updates can disrupt usage. The hardware itself can count strides accurately and support goal tracking, but overall app reliability issues overshadow these benefits.

### Pros

- The Cubii hardware counts strides and mileage accurately on the device side when the app functions, providing reliable workout data.
- The app includes goal tracking, helping users measure progress when data is preserved.
- Several reviewers feel the product is valuable and can be very good when the app works, highlighting the overall usefulness of Cubii as a seated exercise option.

### Cons

- Data/history are not saved across days; workouts reset to zero at midnight or are erased, making long-term progress hard to track.
- Syncing between the Cubii device and the iOS app is unreliable, with missing, partial, or delayed data and mismatches with health apps.
- The app frequently crashes or freezes, sometimes won’t open, and often requires reinstalling to regain functionality.
- Manual entry of workouts is not supported, preventing logging when automatic tracking fails.
- App updates can disrupt usage (pop-ups, forced updates) and support is slow or unhelpful.
