## Review summary

The iOS tpPLC app offers easy setup and basic device management with access to a web UI, and can help diagnose network bottlenecks. However, its major drawbacks are inconsistent device discovery, iOS local-network permission issues, lack of support for newer devices, reliability problems after OS updates, and weak support options, leading to a largely negative user experience.

### Pros

- Easy to install and set up.
- Provides basic administration of the TP-Link network from the iOS app.
- Access to the device's web interface for more advanced configuration.
- Helpful for diagnosing bottlenecks and viewing per-device speeds.

### Cons

- Device discovery and connectivity are unreliable on iOS; devices disappear or show operation timeouts.
- Local network permission issues: the app does not appear in iOS Settings to grant Local Network access and fails to request it properly.
- Lack of support for newer TP-Link devices; some hardware is not supported by the app.
- Reliability can break after iOS updates, with features breaking or the app becoming unusable.
- Poor or slow support with limited troubleshooting options.
