The app also provides location-based species lists, filters for recent sightings or by month, and maps and charts showing seasonal abundance based on the OdonataCentral database. 

Beyond identification, the app supports citizen science by enabling you to submit sightings, track life lists, and sign in to sync data with OdonataCentral. Note that the initial release includes some submission limitations (no editing yet, not immediately sent to OC, and vetting may be pending). Dragonfly ID is a collaboration among BirdsEye, OdonataCentral, Xerces Society, and partners who contribute data and expertise.
