Send audio and video streams directly to the well-known VLC™ media player

The "Open in VLC™ media player" Chrome extension allows you to effortlessly send audio and video streams from your browser directly to the popular VLC media player. Simply right-click on any video or audio link and select the context menu option or use the toolbar button to open streams instantly in VLC. If multiple media links are present, a prompt lets you select which ones to play.

To enable this functionality, you'll need to install a lightweight native-client application; clear installation instructions and FAQs are provided within the extension. Additionally, from version 0.2.0 onwards, the extension includes a media joining tool accessible via the context menu, which merges media files into a WAV format file that can be further converted using VLC.

Note: This independent extension is not affiliated with the official VideoLAN organization or VLC team.
