## Description

GPSDetect is a Chrome extension that scans JPEG images automatically as you browse the web to detect embedded GPS coordinates within their EXIF metadata. Whenever it finds images containing location data, it immediately alerts you and provides direct links to view the coordinates on a map. Additionally, it maintains a history of all detected GPS-enabled images accessible via its toolbar button for quick reference.

This tool is especially useful for users who want to be aware of the location information embedded in images they encounter online, increasing awareness of privacy or simply satisfying curiosity. To test the extension, users can open full-size images from Wikimedia Commons' collection of GPS-tagged media and see the detection in action.
