Chaverim Assist

Chaverim is an umbrella of volunteer not-for-profit organizations established in many neighborhoods to assist local community members.

Interstate Chaverim is comprised of volunteers from the existing Chaverim branches to provide help in areas not covered by a local Chaverim organization. Often people unfortunately require Chaverim's assistance unexpectedly while away from home and are unaware that there might be a Chaverim Organization in their proximity, for example, within just a one hour drive in the tri-state area, you might be passing by several different Chaverim coverage areas and most people wouldn't know who to call. Additionally, when out of their hometown, most people don’t have the local Chaverim number handy. Quite often people don't even know exactly where they are, all they see is a long highway with no signs indicating their location.

Now with the new free Chaverim Assist app, although you might not be familiar with all the existing Chaverim branches out there or don't have their phone numbers, you can rest assured that you’re reaching the correct branch of Chaverim. All this user friendly app has is just one simple button "Tap To Call" and uses your phone’s GPS to pinpoint your location and will automatically call the correct nearby Chaverim. It will also show you your current address, latitude and longitude. If you are in an area where there is no local Chaverim, you will be connected to Interstate Chaverim which handles out of area calls.
