It supports the "new" Austrian spelling conventions using the Hunspell format, ensuring compatibility with newer Mozilla versions. This dictionary is specifically designed for Austrian German (de-AT) and helps users with correct spelling and writing.

Due to compatibility updates, legacy Myspell dictionaries are no longer supported, so this extension uses Hunspell. Thunderbird users may refer to guidance for dictionary installation issues. The extension also addresses changes in Thunderbird's dictionary support, ensuring users download compatible WebExtension dictionaries for best functionality.
