## Description

Profanity Filter mutes video audio and displays censored subtitles whenever profanity is detected during playback. You can upload SRT, ASS, or WebVTT subtitle files, or rely on automatic subtitle detection on supported sites like YouTube and Jellyfin.

A high‑precision subtitle overlay renders at the video’s frame rate and offers full customization—font size, color, opacity, and on‑screen position. You can adjust timing with an offset slider or keyboard shortcuts, preview upcoming cues, and enable a profanity‑only mode to hide clean lines. All processing happens locally in your browser, ensuring no data ever leaves your device.

Profanity detection uses exact matching, regex‑based obfuscation patterns, and fuzzy Levenshtein matching with adjustable sensitivity. Censored words can appear as “[CENSORED]” or be replaced with playful alternatives such as “Silly,” “Polite,” “Random,” a monkey emoji, or your own custom mappings.
