## Description

Mendly Field Service is the job app for Mendly&#39;s own field technicians. It is issued to staff and contracted technicians for work use; it is not a general-purpose consumer app and requires a Mendly account created by an administrator.<br><br>Built for real conditions<br><br>Technicians work in places where signal is patchy or absent. The app keeps every job on the handset, so the day&#39;s work carries on whether or not there is a connection. Anything recorded offline is queued and sent automatically once signal returns.<br><br>What a technician can do<br><br>- See the jobs assigned to them, with the site name, street, landmark, city and a contact number<br>- Record arrival and departure times<br>- Move a job through its stages, from scheduled through on site to completed<br>- Work through the job&#39;s checklist and add notes against each item<br>- Log the parts used<br>- Write up what was done and what remains<br>- Attach photographs of the work<br>- Capture a customer signature on screen where the job requires one<br><br>Built on Odoo and OCA field service<br><br>The app talks to Mendly&#39;s own field service server over an encrypted connection. Each technician signs in with their own account rather than a shared key, so every change carries the identity of the person who made it, and a technician sees only the jobs assigned to them.<br><br>Privacy<br><br>The app does not track the device&#39;s location, contains no advertising or analytics, and shares nothing with third parties.
