Open in Opera

Open current page, link, or all tabs in the Opera browser.

The "Open in Opera" Chrome extension enables users to open the current web page, individual links, or all browser tabs directly in the Opera browser. It streamlines workflow by eliminating the need to manually copy and paste URLs. If Opera is already running, links open in new tabs; otherwise, a new Opera window launches. Installation requires a minimal native client available for Windows, Linux, and Mac, with video tutorials provided for easy setup.

This extension also supports managed storage, allowing domain administrators to preconfigure preferences. It's a standalone project independent of Opera Inc., designed to enhance productivity for users who work across multiple browsers. For troubleshooting and FAQs, dedicated resources and a GitHub repository are available.

doesn't work

Does what it says. I use all varieties of this extension on all the browsers I have. Has always worked for me without fail. For people like me who voraciously open tabs this is a gem.

"For the extension to work (connect to a native application), there is one extra step. Please download, unzip and install this open-source NodeJS native client." Please put this paragraph to your extension page, not after installing your extension.

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Open in Opera requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
