Grid View For Google Meet

Adds a toggle to use a grid layout in Google Meets

Grid View for Google Meet is a Chrome extension that adds a convenient toggle button to enable a grid layout during Google Meet sessions. This layout displays all participants in equally sized video tiles, making it ideal for meetings without a single primary speaker, such as silent work-from-home sessions.

The extension places a button next to the chat and participant list, allowing users to switch grid view on or off easily. It also offers customizable options including speaker highlighting, inclusion of your own video feed, and the ability to hide participants without video. Note that enabling grid view will load every participant's video stream, which might impact performance during very large meetings.

Installation is straightforward — just click install and the extension configures itself. To avoid conflicts, users should remove any other Google Meet grid extensions. This privacy-conscious extension does not track any user data. Improve your Google Meet experience with Grid View today!
