Short description
NotifyMe alerts you when your name or keyword is said in a Google Meet. Set notifications when certain words are spoken in Google Meets.
Full summary
  1. Join a Google Meet and turn on captions.

  2. Enter a single word (your name or a keyword you'd like to be notified for) in the extension's menu (top right).

  3. You can now mute the Google Meet tab and do something else! *

  • Full-screen applications might delay notifications. ** If you accidentally click "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs", uninstall then reinstall NotifyMe.

Never get caught off guard by teachers who cold call ever again! :)

Use Notifyer by visiting meet.google.com and selecting the Notifyer icon in your extensions toolbar. Add words you want to be detected to the list. Clicking a word in the list will automatically toggle the detection state on/off.

Note: you must have captions turned on in order for text to be detected.
