GlobeViewer Mars offers an immersive 3D interactive globe of the entire Martian surface, featuring official designations of surface features such as craters and mountains. Users can zoom into high-resolution local maps, especially of NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover landing site in Jezero Crater, enhanced with HiRISE data for stunning detail.

The extension includes a comprehensive mission log dating back to 1960 and tracks the Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter's movements live. Since version 0.7, photogrammetry-based detailed views of the Martian terrain from rover and helicopter photos allow users to virtually explore Mars as if present on the red planet.
