BRAK-Mitteilungen and BRAK-Magazin
The specialist journal on professional law and professional policy

The BRAK-Mitteilungen, as a specialist journal on professional law, contain academic articles on current developments in professional law. Overview articles on liability law as well as on legal areas relevant to the legal profession such as remuneration law, law of specialist lawyers, legal services law or legal protection insurance law are published regularly. Current decisions on professional law are documented in the jurisprudence section. In addition, the BRAK-Mitteilungen is the body for official announcements of the Federal Bar Association, in particular changes to the professional code (BORA) and specialist lawyer code (FAO).

The BRAK-Magazin appears as a supplement to the BRAK-Mitteilungen and reports in an entertaining way on the work of the Federal Bar Association and current developments in legal policy. It also brings contributions from the specialist committees of the Federal Bar Association on practice-related questions for legal work. In the column, journalists on legal policy take a look at current developments in the field of law and the legal profession.

BRAK-Mitteilungen and BRAK-Magazin appear six times a year. All admitted lawyers and in-house lawyers refer to them.

Since the 4/2020 issue, the BRAK magazines have been exclusively digital. There are no longer any printed editions. Instead, the magazines can be conveniently read in a digital version on a PC or with this app on a mobile device.

As before, there is also an archive with PDF editions of all issues as well as the BRAK communications database for research into essays and court decisions.
