## Description

CAUTION! This app can only be used by registered users of the HerpetoMap of NABU Lower Saxony!<br>The HerpetoMap is a specialist platform for reporting amphibian and reptile occurrences in Lower Saxony. The prerequisite for participating as a reporter is the experienced handling of identifying the native amphibian and reptile species. Access is only possible by prior contact with the project management.<br>The app does not stand alone, but serves as an alternative tool for data collection, especially in the field. By downloading offline maps beforehand, it is also possible to capture data without a network connection. The data recorded and stored in the mobile device is uploaded as soon as a network is available again. Detailed descriptions of the project and this app can be found at https://herpetomap.de.<br>&quot;HerpetoMap - the specialist platform for reporting amphibian and reptile occurrences in Lower Saxony&quot; is a project of the NABU Landesverband Niedersachsen e.V., which is funded from October 2019 to the end of September 2022 by the Lower Saxony Bingo Environmental Foundation. During this period, the HerpetoMap reporting portal will be developed by the project management and the software company IP SYSCON. The acquired reporters have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing development of the main portal and the app themselves by uncovering errors and suggestions for improvement.<br>Interested parties with very good knowledge of identifying amphibians and/or reptiles can send an e-mail to the project management.
