## Description

KATWARN delivers official hazard and disaster warnings, recommended actions, and continuous updates to citizens in Germany on behalf of authorities and security organizations. The app forwards alerts from regional agencies and the Federal Government’s Modular Warning System (MoWaS/NINA), letting users get timely, postcode-specific information and color-coded severity levels for up to eight locations.

KATWARN uses energy-efficient, anonymized location tracking (cell/Wi‑Fi) to minimize battery use and can notify users immediately when they enter an affected area.
