## Description

Cookie Auto Decline automatically handles cookie, consent and GDPR banners by selecting minimal consent or setting the required cookie so the banner stops appearing. The extension runs silently in the background, supports popular consent scripts (Consentmanager, OneTrust, Cookiebot, Usercentrics and more) and even many self-made banners on sites like Google, YouTube, Yahoo or Facebook. It can detect and decline banners on over 1,000,000 websites.

The addon contains no ads, tracking or telemetry and does not bypass cookie-banner paywalls. If a site offers no decline or settings option, the extension will click the accept button to allow normal site functionality while minimizing consent where possible.

## Review summary

Users broadly praise Cookie auto decline for effectively suppressing cookie prompts and allowing calmer browsing, including on mobile and major sites like YouTube and Google. It runs in the background and can auto-delete cookies on close. However, reliability is inconsistent across some sites (e.g., Facebook/Instagram), and a permanent or more precise per-site override is lacking. Some reviews also request an on/off toggle and improved stability.

### Pros

- Automatically declines cookies and hides banners, reducing prompts and making browsing calmer.
- Works well across many sites, including YouTube, Google, news sites, and on Firefox Mobile.
- Runs quietly in the background and handles cookie prompts automatically.
- Auto-deletes cookies on browser close (for those who want automatic cleanup).
- Generally reliable on big sites and perceived as better than similar extensions by some users.

### Cons

- Some sites break or freeze when cookies are blocked (e.g., Facebook/Instagram).
- Per-site disable/override is not always permanent and may reset after sessions or retries.
- Not as precise or customizable as other extensions (e.g., Consent-O-Matic, Superagent).
- Occasional reports of non-work on certain sites; reliability is not universal.
- Users would like a quick on/off toggle to disable the extension temporarily.
