## Description

There are numerous surveys about the occurrence of fish species and the structure of populations.<br>In Tyrol and the Inn, however, there is no overview of where and when fish reproduce naturally. It is of great importance to learn more about the spawning zones and juvenile habitats of native fish. Such knowledge is important not only for fishing management, but above all for the protection of fish and particularly sensitive sections of water. Many fish and nature lovers are already observing spawning events and fish populations, but there is no uniform data collection.<br>The FischBlick app is intended to simplify the mapping of spawning and juvenile fish habitats and at the same time enable uniform data collection. Water bodies or individual sections can be recorded and mapping (including GPS points, photos, information about fish such as species, size and number) can then be added at any time.<br> <br>As part of the INNsieme connect project (co-financing by the European Union, Interreg Bavaria-Austria funding program 2021-2027), courses are organized and data on spawning waters and young fish habitats in Tyrol are collected together. The aim is to create a network of interested fish and nature lovers who will continue to map independently even after the project has run its course. The aim is to strengthen and protect healthy fish stocks and ecologically intact aquatic habitats.
