Capture audio notes, meeting discussions, lectures, interviews and ideas, then find and listen to them when you need them.

Record with a tap
• Start an M4A/AAC recording from the app or home-screen widget.
• Continue a recording you started with the screen off, the phone locked or another app open.
• Choose Voice Notes, Meetings or High Quality and see the microphone input level.
• With notifications enabled, pause, resume, stop and save from the recording notification.
• After saving, listen, name or share your recording.

Find the right moment
• Skip back or forward 10 seconds.
• Choose playback speeds from 0.75× to 2×.
• Return to your saved listening position or start from the beginning. Reopening a recording does not play it automatically.

Keep your recordings organized
• Search by name and sort by date, name, duration or file size.
• Rename, share individual recordings or export all available files.
• Open the local recording folder in your file manager.
• Undo a library deletion or restore it from Recently deleted. Permanently deleting the audio requires a separate confirmation.

Can I record with the screen off?
Yes. Start recording first, then turn off the screen or lock your phone. Phone battery restrictions can affect background recording; the app includes battery-settings guidance. Enable notifications to use the recording controls outside the app.

What happens when I delete a recording?
It moves to Recently deleted so you can restore it. The audio still occupies space in the recording folder until you confirm permanent deletion there. There is no automatic purge.

Does it transcribe audio or record phone calls?
No. VoiceTap Pro records microphone audio. It does not record phone calls or provide automatic transcription.
