Vimcar Fahrtenbuch is a simple, secure digital logbook designed for effortless trip recording and tax compliance. Working exclusively with the original Vimcar OBD dongle or box, mileage data is transmitted automatically to the app (even without continuous GPS), producing tamper-proof, tax-advisor-approved records. Tag trips as business, private, or commute with one tap, merge trips, and export PDF logbooks for any period. Data is HTTPS encrypted and stored in Germany with a 10-year encrypted backup.

The OBD-plug includes an integrated SIM and optional GPS receiver so your vehicle can log trips independently of your phone. Privacy controls let you enable or disable GPS, and the app never stores full routes—only start and end points.
