Vetpain

Vetpain is a Chrome extension designed to assist veterinary professionals and animal caregivers in assessing pain in various animal species. Through demonstrative videos, users can learn to recognize pain-related behaviors specific to each species. The application enables training to enhance pain assessment skills and automatically calculates pain scores for evaluated animals.

Originating from research at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics at Unesp, Vetpain relies on scientifically validated behavioral pain scales to recommend appropriate analgesic treatments. By quantifying pain accurately, Vetpain aims to alleviate animal suffering, honoring ethical standards and animal welfare regulations worldwide.
