## Description

Visual impairment conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa, central vision loss, and glaucoma significantly reduce an individual's quality of life and independence. To address this challenge, the e-View Reader application was developed as a cost-effective, mobile-based visual assistance tool. Leveraging the ubiquity and high-resolution cameras of modern smartphones, e-View Reader provides real-time visual enhancement through adjustable text magnification and high-contrast color inversion (e.g., yellow/black, red/black, blue/white).

The application also incorporates a screenshot capture feature for offline reference. Unlike expensive, specialized assistive devices, e-View Reader offers a highly accessible, portable, and user-friendly alternative that requires no prior training. Initial user studies indicate a strong potential for improving independence in daily tasks, particularly regarding text readability. Future research will evaluate long-term efficacy across diverse demographic backgrounds and specific visual conditions. Through sustained collaboration among developers, ophthalmologists, and the visually impaired community, e-View Reader has the potential to serve as a mobile pedagogical support tool, ultimately enhancing social well-being and aligning with national sustainable development goals.
