StepStore helps you turn daily movement into intentional screen time. Instead of blocking your favorite apps forever, StepStore lets you earn unlock minutes by walking, then spend those minutes on the apps you choose.

Pick the social, video, shopping, or entertainment apps that tend to pull you in. StepStore keeps them shielded until you build walking credit. When you are ready, use your earned balance to open a short unlock window and use those apps with more intention.

SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED

StepStore requires an active subscription to use the app and its features. A free trial may be available for eligible users. Subscription options, trial availability, pricing, and renewal terms are shown in the app before purchase.

ANDROID ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE USE

StepStore uses the AccessibilityService API only for its core app blocking feature. After you choose the apps you want StepStore to manage and give explicit consent, the StepStore Shield Accessibility Service detects when one of those selected apps is opened. If walking credit is not available, StepStore redirects you to the StepStore shield screen until you earn or spend unlock minutes.

StepStore does not use Accessibility to read screen content, messages, posts, passwords, purchases, browsing activity, photos, contacts, or typed text. It does not perform actions inside other apps, change device settings, prevent you from disabling or uninstalling StepStore, or record audio or calls. Accessibility data is used only to detect selected app launches for app blocking. You can turn off the service at any time in Android Accessibility settings.

HOW STEPSTORE WORKS

• Connect your steps
StepStore reads your step count through Apple Health or Health Connect, with your permission, and converts walking into unlock credit.

• Choose apps to earn back
Select the apps or app categories you want StepStore to manage. On Android, selected app blocking uses the StepStore Shield Accessibility Service described above.

• Earn screen-time minutes
Every walk adds minutes to your StepStore balance. Progress, streaks, daily goal, and multiplier help keep the habit visible.

• Spend minutes intentionally
Use earned minutes to unlock selected apps for short access windows. When the window ends, StepStore can start a cooldown.

• Track progress
See steps, distance, active calories, earned minutes, streaks, awards, and daily goal progress.
