## Description

Screen Test shows you the screens you need to spot display problems yourself.

Buying a used phone? Just unboxed a new one? Screen looks a bit off? Solid colors, gray shades and a touch grid make dead pixels, stuck pixels and burn-in easy to see with your own eyes.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

COLOR TEST — 9 SOLID COLORS
White, black, red, green, blue, gray, yellow, cyan and magenta, one at a time in full screen. Dark dots on white are dead pixels. Bright dots on black are stuck ones. Nothing covers the screen while a color is showing, so every part of the panel stays visible.

BURN-IN CHECK — 3 GRAY SHADES
Even gray is where OLED ghosting shows up. Faint marks around the status bar or navigation bar are the usual signs on a screen that has been used for a long time.

TOUCH TEST — 10 x 20 GRID
This one the app can actually measure. Swipe across the screen and each cell fills in as your finger passes. A cell that never fills is an area where no touch event reached the app at all. A red dot marks the exact point that was registered, so you can also see whether the touch position is drifting. Press an already filled cell again and it still responds, so you can retest any spot as many times as you like.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

BEFORE YOU START
Wipe the screen with a soft cloth and turn the brightness all the way up. Dust looks exactly like a dead pixel, and a clean screen saves you from chasing specks that are not there. The app shows this reminder on first run.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

SIMPLE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in
• No permissions requested at all
• No internet needed to run the tests
• Nothing is collected from your device
• Available in 37 languages

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

PLEASE NOTE
Dead pixels and burn-in live in the display panel itself. No app can read them back from the hardware, so no app can tell you they are there — including this one. What Screen Test does is put up the screens that make them easiest to see, and remember what you have already checked. The looking is yours to do.

(The touch test is the exception: touch events do reach the app, so an unresponsive area is something the app genuinely registers.)
