Whether you are a student learning proper timpani tuning technique or an advanced musician refining your pitch accuracy, TimpTune helps you develop precision, consistency, and stronger relative pitch skills.

Unlike general instrument tuners, TimpTune is focused specifically on the needs of timpani performance and practice.

Key Features
1. Timpani Tuning Made Simple
TimpTune helps you accurately tune each timpani drum using real-time pitch detection through your device’s microphone. Quickly identify whether your pitch is sharp, flat, or in tune.

2. Relative Pitch Training
Develop a stronger internal sense of pitch by practicing interval recognition between timpani drums. Strengthen your ability to hear and adjust pitch relationships—an essential skill for orchestral percussionists.

3. Designed for Orchestral Percussion
Built specifically for timpani players, not general-purpose instruments. TimpTune focuses on the real-world demands of orchestral repertoire and ensemble performance.

4. Practice and Improve
Use TimpTune regularly to:
- Improve tuning accuracy
- Build consistent timpani setup habits
- Strengthen ear training and pitch memory
- Prepare for rehearsals and performances

Who Is TimpTune For?

TimpTune is designed for:
- Developing musicians
- University music majors
- Orchestral percussionists
- Private lesson students
- Educators teaching timpani technique and ear training

Whether you are preparing for auditions, rehearsals, or performances, TimpTune supports your growth as a percussionist.

Why TimpTune?
Timpani tuning requires both technical accuracy and a strong ear. Many tuners are designed for guitar, strings, or general instruments—but timpani presents unique challenges.

TimpTune bridges that gap by focusing specifically on:
- Low-frequency pitch detection
- Drum-to-drum interval relationships
- Practical orchestral tuning situations

Improve Your Timpani Playing:
With consistent use, TimpTune helps you build the most important timpani skill: confident, accurate tuning by ear and reference pitch.

Develop better listening, faster adjustments, and stronger musical awareness—all in one focused practice tool. ## Rankings - #2,789,122 — Overall ## Permissions and access ### Permissions - `com.android.vending.CHECK_LICENSE` - `com.timptune.app.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION` ## Similar extensions and apps - [EarTune - Pitch Ear Training](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.eartune.mobile) — 712 users - [Ear Train Tuner](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.symphonymeld.eartrainingtuner) — 10 users - [PerfectPitch: Train Tonality](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.perfectpitch) — 91 users - [Microtonal Ear Trainer](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.wheelsandbones.microtonal) — 106 users - [Ear Training Intervals & Pitch](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.the3rdhalf.ear_training) — 210 users - [Ear Training Pro](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.vmusicstorm) — 107 users - [PitchMe - Perfect Ear Trainer](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.moosedev.pitchme) — 5,301 users - [Intonalogy](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.intonalogy.intonalogyapp) — 120 users - [Piano Ear Training](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.veitch.themelodymaster.phl) — 1,860,546 users, 3.91 / 5 - [Tune!It](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.tuneit.tuneit) — 2,619 users, 4.67 / 5 - [Timpani Real](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.ideasappsey.timpanirealapp) — 10,130 users - [Relative Pitch](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.totormusicinstitute.relativepitch) — 27 users --- Source: [Chrome-Stats](https://chrome-stats.com/d/com.timptune.app)
