User reviews
Users find 'Tasty Diary' fun and addictive with appealing graphics and good tutorials. However, many complain about overwhelming ads disrupting gameplay and slow or broken life refill mechanics. Several mention that progressing past certain levels feels impossible without spending money, and some report glitches causing freezes or lost progress. While the game starts enjoyable, these issues significantly affect the overall experience.
Pros
- The game is engaging and addictive with a fun cooking and upgrading system.
- It offers enjoyable gameplay that's challenging but not overly difficult early on.
- Graphics are smooth and appealing, making the game visually pleasant.
- The tutorial helps players understand new ingredients and mechanics effectively.
- There is a no-ads version available for purchase, allowing uninterrupted play.
Cons
- Excessive and intrusive ads interrupt gameplay frequently, often after each level or action.
- Progression is hindered without spending real money; some levels require purchases to complete.
- Lives/energy refill mechanic is problematic; sometimes lives don't refill unless the game remains open.
- The game experiences glitches such as freezing or resetting progress, especially at higher levels.
- High in-app purchase costs (e.g., 80 diamonds to continue) are considered too expensive by many users.
Recent reviews
I'm not sure if its just me or what but waiting for the lives to refill is so annoying. Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying this game but the lives! Not only do they take so long to refill but they don't refill when I close the game. I have to keep the game open (not even open in the background) for it to refill.

I don't normally leave reviews but this game is way better than many of this type. You don't have to fork out money to progress. It doesn't get crazy difficult very quickly. I'm enjoying it.
