## Description

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security system that verifies a user’s identity by requiring multiple credentials. It is a critical component of identity and access management (IAM). Rather than just asking for a username and password, MFA requires other—additional—credentials, such as a code /action from the user’s smartphone and biometric recognition.<br><br>Simeio Authenticator app, even if someone manages to obtain your password, they won&#39;t be able to access your accounts without also having access to your smartphone to take the required action(Accept/Reject). This significantly enhances the security of your online accounts.<br><br>When you register your account, you link it to a mobile device you own. Afterwards, whenever you try to log in to your account it sends a push auth request to the associated device for confirmation. you can accept or deny the auth request.<br><br>Push authentication is a mobile-centric authentication whereby the service provider sends the user a notification over the most secure available communication channel. The user responds to the challenge by acting to verify their identity and access the service.
