## Description

WAVECAST is a Random Forest-based application for predicting sea wave heights in Indonesian waters, providing forecasts for the current day up to seven days ahead. The application features spatial map visualization, prediction charts for user-selected locations, and extreme wave alerts when the significant wave height (Hs) exceeds locally defined thresholds.<br><br>This application was developed by the Research Center for Oceanography and the Directorate of Scientific Collection Management of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN), in collaboration with Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Universitas Brawijaya (UB), and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). It was developed as an output of the 2026 Research Program of BRIN’s Earth Sciences and Maritime Research Organization.
