Scroll Control helps you keep track of Instagram Reels, set daily limits, and build more intentional scrolling habits. Stay connected with friends, posts, and stories while managing the time you spend watching short videos.

REAL-TIME REEL COUNTER

Stay aware of every swipe. A floating counter displays your daily reel count while you browse, helping you see how close you are to your selected limit.

CUSTOM DAILY LIMITS

Choose how many reels you want to watch each day. When your daily limit is reached, Scroll Control displays a screen-time intervention to help you pause and reconsider continued scrolling.

FAMILY PROTECTION

Support balanced scrolling habits together. Link supported devices using a pairing PIN, manage daily reel allowances, and view reported usage summaries for connected family members. Updates depend on connectivity and device permissions.

ACCOUNTABILITY COMPANIONS

Personalize your limit-reached experience with accountability companions such as Dad, Mom, Partner, Sibling, or Strict Mode. Choose reminders that suit your goals and preferences.

DAILY INSIGHTS AND STREAKS

Review your reel-count history, follow daily trends, and track your progress toward more consistent scrolling habits.

ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API USAGE

Scroll Control uses the Android AccessibilityService API for its core reel-counting and screen-time intervention features.

With your consent, the service accesses window and scroll events, view identifiers, and interface labels in Instagram to identify Reels and count reel views and scrolls. Window-change events also help detect when you leave Instagram.

This information is used to update your reel counter and display screen-time interventions when your configured daily reel limit is reached. Reel detection runs on your device.

Accessibility access requires your consent and must be enabled by you in Android Settings. You can disable it in Android Settings at any time. Reel counting and related interventions require this service to remain enabled.

Scroll Control is a digital wellbeing app. It is not an accessibility tool designed specifically to support people with disabilities.

DISPLAY OVER OTHER APPS

Scroll Control uses the display-over-other-apps permission to show its floating reel counter over Instagram. You control this permission through Android Settings.

PRIVACY AND DATA

We do not save or upload chat transcripts, passwords, or raw accessibility screen content.

When Family protection is enabled, daily reel counts, report times, and permission status are sent to our server for your connected family organizer.

Sign-in and referral features process account and device information. Firebase services process authentication and notification identifiers. Automatic crash reporting processes crash details, app and device information, and diagnostic identifiers to help us investigate failures.

See our Privacy Policy for more information about data collection, use, sharing, and deletion.
