2025-01-27 | I like the Roku app but took off two stars because it keeps playing. There's no option to change this. If you are watching a show, the show keeps playing and moves automatically. If you fall asleep watching a show, heaven only knows where you'd end up by the time you wake up. Another thing is that not all Roku shows could be watched through the app. I'll see what a Roku device can do for these issues. | ||
2025-01-26 | Complete garbage. Absolutely worst app. I cannot express how frustrating it is to open the app and to have a lag time between when you hit a button and what reacts on the screen of 20 minutes. Not to mention the signal strength of these rokus are awful. Seriously go with anything else. Pay money to bezos and just get something that is actually worth it. Do not get a Roku | ||
2025-01-19 | Edit: Private listening now works as it should. However, having to click a button on the physical remote every time I want to use the app remote (so that the app will connect to the device) is annoying. 3/24/24 Private listening is glitchy, cuts in and out of audio. It has been this way since trying to use this feature 3 years ago. | ||
2025-01-18 | Very slow and lags when you try to use the widget. I will only use it if I absolutely have to (ie.battery does or remote is lost). Gets connected to other Roku TV's when only supposed to be connected to one. App is now having plenty of loading issues and crashes multiple times. Needs to be updated soon to address these issues, it's almost unusable. | ||
2025-01-10 | It gives me pleasure to rate this app! 1st of all, I think it's AWESOME, that this app is even a available 2 begin with! The fact that it's even better than the physical remote that comes with the TV is amazing! The functionality & features that it has by comparison actually make the original remote look unnecessary, but HEY, if I find myself without data AND wifi, like I do, (sometimes) more often than most people, & definitely as I DID yesterday, then I'm appreciative of the remote! Greatjob! | ||
2025-01-10 | Fabulous when it works. But regularly fails to load some or all services. Shows constant false errors, especially common for Prime Video. May go down briefly, selectively only some stations, lag intermittently on all stations, and occasionally fail to load anything for hours. It is not my cables or internet which are functioning properly in all other respects with strong gig capacity fiber optic cables. We have a 4K Stick and love the way it is plug and play and works great 90% of the time. | ||
2025-01-07 | The remote function doesn't work for me anymore, and that's the only reason i have the app. I've tried clearing cache and data, deleting the app, then re-download it, but it still won't connect with the tv. I've also checked to see if the tv and my phone are connected to the same wifi, they are. I also tried multiple times of putting in the TVs IP thingy in on the app, but it didn't work. | ||
2025-01-04 | Paying just for the cost of Internet with only 200kbps, No gaming...I can run up to 5 Roku TV's and still have enough GB left at the end of each month, savings thousands of dollars. I mostly watch all the free apps and only pay for Amazon Prime to purchase movies and other stuff from the Amazon APP that is already on the Roku main menu. I had Roku for about 6 years now. Cutting the Cord is the best thing to do. stop getting robbed by the Cable Companies. | ||
2025-01-04 | first off, I used to like Roku but recently my device start malfunctioning which cause we need to be locked out of the account on the app. so when I went to do a password reset and went through all that and I still can't get in it. it keeps on sing that my email and my password does not match what's on the account. it is virtually impossible to find an agent to talk to. it's a piece of s*** | ||
2025-01-04 | What Happened???? I've used this app for years whenever the remotes would get lost & IT WAS FLAWLESS! Today I'm trying to use it because my kid has misplaced the remote and it says it doesn't recognize not 1 of the 3 roku devices in my house!!!! I don't know what you all have done over at ROKU, BUT FIX IT!!!! ALSO FIX THE RANDOM PROBLEM WITH THE DISTORTED/FLUXUATING SOUND! READ THE INTERNET FOR THE PROBLEMS WE'RE EXPERIENCING. |
